Second Stage Round 8: Krka - Spartak 66-61

There was a small surprise in Novo Mesto where fifth ranked SlovenianKrka (9-15) defeated second-ranked Serbian Spartak (13-11) 66-61 on Saturday. Krka made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Lovro Urbiha (204-2003, agency: PEPI SPORT) who scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Blaz Mahkovic (201-1990, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points. Canadian Olivier Hanlan (193-1993, college: Boston Coll.) produced 18 points and Montenegrin point guard Igor Drobnjak (188-2000) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Krka maintains fifth position with 9-15 record. Spartak at the other side keeps the second place with 11 games lost.
